  The purpose of this research is to analyze the impact of factors affecting the efficiency of implementing reverse logistics in packaging supply chainin Hung Yen province. This research was conducted with 225 samples using the direct interview method. After collecting and processing data, regression analysis was applied to evaluate the impact on the effectiveness of reverse logistics implementation. The results show that the effective of reverse logistics implemetntation was related to 5 factors: legal regulations and policies, level of technology application, consumer awareness and attitudes, level of collaboration, policies and resources of enterprises. Five solutions were recommended to enhance the efficient of reverse logistics implementation: enhancing the responsibility of manufacturers in implementing regulations on recycling and waste packaging responsibilities, promote cooperation on advanced technology transfer in the field of recycling; create a stable market for recycled products, promting the supply chain member collaboration and train human resources on reverse logistics management and recycling

  Almost all nations in the world today pay increasing attention to sustainable development because of environmental issues and resources degradation. Reverse logistics plays an important role in achieving the sustainable development goals of any organization. The purpose of this study is to provide a literature review of effect of reverse logistics practices on sustainable development’s triple bottom line. Content analysis was used to analyse the selected papers. Results of the study reveal that reverse logistics has possitive impacts on sustainable development through 5 economic, 4 environmental and 5 social indicators. However, some studies has shown vague economic and social effects of reverse logistics.

• Current Situation and Solutions to Promote Reverse Logistics Implementation by Enterprises: A Case Study in Hai Phong City

  Reverse logistics plays a crucial role in achieving sustainable development goals. The objective of this study is to propose solutions that encourage enterprises to implement reverse logistics activities, based on an analysis of the current practices among businesses in Hai Phong City. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), combined with expert opinions, is employed to prioritise the proposed solutions. The research findings indicate that the proportion of enterprises engaging in reverse logistics in Hai Phong remains relatively low, despite the potential benefits such activities offer to businesses. Among the solutions directed at governmental authorities, the most highly prioritised is “Strengthening guidance and support from regulatory bodies to enterprises”. For businesses, the most critical solution is to “Enhance understanding and awareness of the future trend towards a circular economy in Vietnam, as outlined by government orientations; recognise the policies, laws, and regulations that are or will be enforced regarding extended producer responsibility for the take-back and treatment of discarded products and packaging; and pay attention to the enterprise’s long-term development”.

  In recent years, there have been growing interests from international researchers to study about the topic of reverse logistics, however in Vietnam, there were just few researches related to this issue. Therefore, this study aimedtoreview thefactors affecting reverse logistics implementation of businesses. Those factors are categorized into fourgroups: government -related factors, customers -related factors, social -environmental related factors and firms -related factors. This research helps practitioners working on reverse logistics to find managerial guidelines in making specific decisions.
