In the recent years, the shortage of shirmp for processing is more popular in Ca Mau province and threatens the sustainability of the shrimp farming and processing sectors. The main reason is that the shrimp yield of Ca Mau does not keep pace with the quick development of processing capacity. The scattered and spontaneous development between the stages of production-processing chain is one of the most serious reasons leading to this situation. However, in fact, the linkage establishment is facing to many difficulties. There are a variety of factors affecting to the establishment and development of the linkages. Legal framework, planning and role of local authority are three most important factors. Using results of resesearch in Ca Mau’s shrimp sector, this paper was focused on analyzing the key impact factors to propose resolutions for strengthening linkage between the shrimp farmers and processors in the near future.
