Abstract
The growth and flowering characteristics of the new peach line GL2-2 (Prunus persia (L) Batsch) were evaluated in different ecological conditions in nortern delta and midland This new peach line GL2-2 appeared superior to the popular local variety DP2 in terms of flower quality characteristics: higher petal number, larger flower diameter, higher ratio of open flower, and longer flower life. Pilot cultivation in the different ecological conditions of Northern delta and midland of Vietnam also confirmed these characters and brought about higher economical efficiency in Thai Nguyen Province..
