  In agricultural production, irrigation water is at the forefront, especially in the context of climate change. The objective of this study wasto predictthe irrigation waterrequirementsfor the major land use types in the Srepok basin and to propose agricultural land-use planning to support decision makers in integrated river basin management towards sustainable development. The modeling approach under thesupport ofCROPWAT 8.0and assessment of natural land adaptation process were applied in the study. Irrigation demand for coffee, pepper, cashew, rubber, tea, rice, maize and cassava were calculated in 2015with highest value of 7.746 m3.ha-1.crop-1forwinter-spring rice. Theirrigation water wasforecast for the future (2045) with decreasing trend in three scenarios (11.7% for low scenario, 18.59% for average scenario and 4.25% in the high scenario) compared to the presentperiod. Furthermore, three maps for agricultural land-use thatdefine suitable areasand spatial allocation of land use plans, were proposed with climatechange scenarios as a response solution.

• Using the Cropwat Model for Predicting Water use Demand of some Main Crops in Hung Yen Province

  The aim of this study was to calculate the water demand of some main crops in Hung Yen province in 2023. The study used the modeling method applying CROPWAT 8.0 model to calculate the water demand for the main crops in Hung Yen province (rice, corn, citrus, longan, banana, and lychee). The planting area of the main crops in 2023 was 64,115.22ha. The rainfall in 2023 was 1,212.8mm. The total water demand of the main crops in the province in 2023 iwas about 224.894 million m3. The group of annual crops had a water demand of 189.959 million m3, of which rice had the largest water demand of 186.448 million m3, accounting for 82.9%. The total water demand of fruit trees was about 34.976 million m3, of which longan trees had the highest water demand. By locality, An Thi district had the highest water demand of 53.129 million m3/year (23.6%), while Van Giang district had the lowest of 1.515 million m3/year. The remaining localities had water demand ranging from 9.838-32.209 million m3/year.
