The study of factors affecting household income in An Bien district, Kien Giang province is very urgent to identify the factors that significantly affect and propose solutions to improve income for farmers in the study area. To achieve the above research objectives, the research topic used descriptive statistical methods, and multivariable regression to determine the factors affecting the income of shrimp-rice farming households in An Bien district, Kien province. After collecting and processing data, the survey results of 304 farmers found 9 factors affecting household income including age, sex, education level, number of years of experience, number of worker's activities, acreage, and varieties inspected, loaned, and trained. Which, there are 4 main factors affecting farm household income in An Bien, namely: number of years of experience, area, loan, and training. Specific processing data of the four main factors are as follows: the average number of years of experience in agricultural production is 10 years; the average production land area is 20,717.11m2; the loan rate is 71.38%; the training participation rate is 45.72%. From there, the article proposes some solutions to improve income such as farmers should access more mass media on agricultural production to raise awareness and accumulate experience, at the same time, the locality needs to closely follow and stick with farmers to come up with appropriate and appropriate policies for farmers; increase more resources such as area, capital to increase productivity and quality, thereby, improve income.
