Thestudyassessesthe impacts of international trade and protection on wage premiums across Thai manufacturing industries by recognising that workers are heterogeneous in their skills. The author derives atheoretical model from Ohnsorge and Trefler (2007) that isthe equilibrium model with heterogeneous skill bundles and estimates the model using micro data from Thailand. The results show that tariffs and NTBs are indicators of protection have negatively significant effect on wage premiums.Exports and imports are indicators of international trade measurement. Exports are positively significant impacts whereas imports have negatively insignificant impacts on the wage premiums. The results are significant and consistent with the theorem that previous studies predicted.
