Abstract
The study aimed to assess the current situation and propose solutions to improve the efficiency of high-tech application in vegetable production in agricultural cooperatives of Dong Anh district. The secondary data and primary data were collected from 8 agricultural cooperatives applying high technology and 8 agricultural cooperatives without high technology application. In addition, primary information was collected from 32 managers and 160 members of these cooperatives. The results show that the application of high technology in vegetable production helped to improve efficiency and increase production value for agricultural cooperatives, but the cooperatives were facing many difficulties such as the large scale of investment capital, difficulty in consumption of the products, etc. Solutions to be implemented to promote agricultural cooperatives to apply high technology in vegetable production and consumption include: speeding up guidance and implementation of supporting policies; perfecting the planning of high-tech application production areas; flexible credit support; improving the effectiveness of human resource support programs for the cooperatives; apply the right technology.
