    Bảo hiểm nông nghiệp là công cụ bảo hiểm rủi ro cho người sản xuất nông nghiệp, giúp họ có thể phục hồi nhanh hơn sau các cú sốc, đồng thời thúc đẩy quản trị sản xuất tốt hơn. Để phát triển và đưa bảo hiểm nông nghiệp vào áp dụng trong thực tiễn cho cây trồng nói chung và cây lúa nói riêng, nhiều quốc gia trên thế giới đã xây dựng và thực hiện nhiều chính sách khác nhau. Bài viết sử dụng phương pháp khảo cứu, tổng quan và phân tích dữ liệu từ các bài báo khoa học, các báo cáo nghiên cứu, các website chính thức và một số đánh giá từ khảo sát trực tiếp năm 2024 nhằm mục tiêu: (i) Tổng hợp và phân tích kinh nghiệm của một số quốc gia trong xây dựng và thực hiện chính sách bảo hiểm nông nghiệp cho cây trồng; (ii) Rút ra một số bài học kinh nghiệm và (iii) Đề xuất một số khuyến nghị cho thực hiện chính sách bảo hiểm nông nghiệp trên cây lúa ở Việt Nam trong thời gian tới.
