This study evaluated the effect of different of mulching materials and planting densities on weed species, weed density and weed biomass, growth and grain yield of quinoa. The field experiment was conducted in Gia Lam, Ha Noi, consisting of two factors and using a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications. Mulching materials consist of weed stem and leaves mulch, rice straws mulch and black plastic mulch, and non-mulch. Planting densities were sown at three different levles: 80.000 plants ha-1, 100.000 plants ha-1, and 133.333 plants ha-1. The results showed that mulching materials such as weed stem and leaves, rice straws or black plastic in combination with a planting density of 100.000 plants ha-1 significantly reduced weed density and weed biomass. Additionally, these conditions enhanced the growth and grain yield of quinoa.

The root-knot nematode Meloidogyne incognita is a common pest on tomato plants. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of Trichoderma asperellum in controlling root-knot nematodes (M. incognita) under laboratory and pot conditions. The experiment was designed with five treatments, including four concentrations of T. asperellum spore suspension (10⁴, 10⁵, 10⁶, and 10⁷ spores/ml) and a control treatment (0 spores/ml). Results showed that the concentration of 10⁷ spores/ml was the most effective, reducing the hatching rate of nematode eggs (113 eggs/152 eggs, equivalent to 25.65%) compared to the control after 24 hours of treatment. At this concentration, T. asperellum also killed second-stage juveniles (M. incognita) with a mortality rate of 88% after 72 hours. Additionally, the 10⁷ spores/ml concentration increased tomato plant height (55.7 cm) and weight (46 g), compared to the control (48.27 cm and 36.43 g). This concentration also significantly reduced the number of galls per root (118.67) and the number of eggs per egg mass (154), compared to the control values of 218.33 galls and 241.67 eggs per egg mass - These are indicators of the nematode's reproductive ability. This study provides valuable insights into the potential use of the biocontrol fungus T. asperellum in managing root-knot nematodes on tomato plants.

This study evaluated the effective method of disinfecting the sample surfaces at varying concentrations of bactericidal agents to produce axenic materials for Kappaphycus alvarezii micropropagation. The experiment was conducted with 3 types of bactericidal agents including (1) sodium hypochlorite solution at concentration of 0.25% for 5 seconds, (2) pure Sigma antibiotics at concentrations of 0.5%, 1% and 1.5% for 48 hours, (3) nano silver solution at concentrations from 100 to 1000 ppm for 5 minutes. The research results showed that using sodium hypochlorite solution to prevent bacterial contamination in K. alvarezii was the best disinfection method. The samples treated by sodium hypochlorite solution produced high rate of axenic explants (86.67%), highest rate of callus induction (94.44%) and good callus quality. For treatment of pure antibiotics and nano silver solution, when the concentration was higher, the axenic sample rate was higher but the survival rate and the callus induction rate were lower. The antibiotics with a concentration of 1.5% gave lowest callus rate (41.11%) and highest (54.44%) at a concentration of 0.5%. The concentration of nano silver solution at 1000 ppm gave the lowest callus rate (45.56%), while the 100 ppm formula had the highest callus rate (71.11%) but the lowest clean sample rate (only 12.22%).

This study was conducted for 90 days at a snail density of 200 ind./m2 to evaluate the effectiveness of different types of food on the growth and survival rate of apple snails (Pila polita). Snails are fed different diets including: (1) Industrial pellet; (2) Industrial pellet combined with eelgrass; (3) Industrial pellet combined with lettuce. Survival rates of snails obtained the highest when feeding pellet with lettuce (71.27%), and was higher than pellets combined with eelgrass (65.67%) or completely with pellets (56.67%). The average weight, height and width of snails fed 100% pellet were highest. However, feeding snails with industrial feed combined eelgrass gives higher economic efficiency, and also contributes to improving the environment during the farming process.

The purpose of this study was to clarify the role and mechanism of ghrelin's effect on feeding behavior in mice. We used PACAP antagonist combined with monitoring food intake in mice. The study results showed that ghrelin increased food intake in mice after 1 hour of treatment. Notably, the decrease in food intake was more pronounced in PACAP knockout mice after ghrelin treatment, compared to the reduction in food intake observed in wild-type mice treated with the PACAP antagonist PACAP6-38. Furthermore, after 1 hour of ghrelin treatment, we observed a decrease in the expression level of the GLP1R receptor in the nucleus accumbens of PACAP knockout mice, suggesting that the expression of the GLP1R receptor in this region may be regulated by ghrelin. These findings provide evidence that ghrelin and PACAP interact in regulating food intake, but ghrelin may also act through other signaling pathways that are not entirely dependent on PACAP, and suggest that GLP1R antagonists may have potential in preventing weight gain and could serve as an important therapeutic strategy against obesity in the future.

Blueberry (Vaccinium tenellum) is grown as ornamental flowers in some gardens in the Mekong Delta. The growth of blueberry is only suitable on soil with good aeration and drainage, however, most Mekong Delta agricultural soils have high clay content (56%), so using materials to improve the physical environment for blueberry growing soil is necessary. The objective of this study was to evaluate the best rate of biochar for the N, P, and K uptake and the yield of blueberriy. A green house experiment at the School of Agriculture, Can Tho University was arranged in a completely randomized block design with four replications, biochar was used at tree rates of 0, 10, and 20 t ha-1 (biochar_0, biochar_10, and biochar_20) and N, P and K fertilizers were applied with the formula 45:20:20 kg ha-1. Results show that mixing biochar into alluvial clay soil at 10 ha-1 and N, P and K fertilizers applied with the formula 45:20:20 kgha-1 effectively increased the uptake of N, P and K, promoting growth and blueberry yield.. It is suggested that combination of organic fertilizer with biochar may improve the soil nutrient environment for blueberry grown on alluvial soil in the Mekong Delta.

This study proposed a solution to support the management of teachinhg and learning activities at the Department level. The software solution was built based on a survey of the actual needs in professional management at the Departments of the Faculty of Information Technology. We have collected data, standardized, organized, stored and managed data uniformly on a web platform to help managers as well as lecturers easily manage, monitor, search and compile information related to teaching activities and archiving work of the department. The program was built according to the steps in the software development process with full functions such as: managing teaching assignments, managing courses documents, managing the storage of academic records, information for specialized internship topics and graduation theses of students, assigning exam schedules, exams evaluation, managing work and other activities at the Department level. Currently, the application has been installed and tested at the Department of Computer Science and has been highly appreciated by teachers in the unit. The program has the potential to be expanded and adopted in other units within Vietnam National University of Agriculture.

The application of plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria in plant cultivation is an environmentally friendly approach that plays an important role in developing sustainable agriculture. In this study, the growth-promoting activity of three potential bacterial strains on Chrysanthemum plants was evaluated. The culture of a single strain or combinations of strains was added to the soil to observe the growth dynamics of Chrysanthemum plants. The results showed that all three strains, BS-KT07, BS-NA34, and BP-VN09, stimulated Chrysanthemum growth in termsof plant height, numbers of leaves, and biomass. Comparing plants between treatments of single-strain or combined strains indicated that the treatment with the BS-KT07 strain achieved the best growth-promoting activity. In conclusion, our data suggested that the strain BS-KT07 be a potential strain for developing plant biostimulants in the future.

This study aimed to determine the impact of E-accounting on the organization of accounting activities in small and medium-sized enterprises in Hanoi. Based on previous studies on the same topic, the research assessed the influences of the trend of E-accounting adopting in organization of accounting work in small and medium-sized enterprises in Hanoi. From the survey of 374 small and medium-sized enterprises in Hanoi in different industries, the results indicated that the application of E-accounting in these enterprises has increased in both quantity adoption level. The application of E-accounting brings efficiency in terms of time, information quality, and information use. This is a useful basis to help small and medium-sized enterprises promote the application of E-accounting in the organization of accounting work..

This study is to analyze factors affecting customers' purchase intention for the Hue lotus (Nelumbo nucifera) products. The structural equation model analysis on Smartpls was applied on data collected from 250 consumers. The result indicated that the Hue lotus products had a competitive advantage when more than 50% of surveyed consumers understoodd the value of the products and had a high ranking of this product compared to lotus of other regions. The findings showed that consumers attitude and perceived control behavior positively affected the purchasing intention for Hue lotus products, meanwhile there was no significant relationship between subjective norm and purchase intention. However, subjective norms had a positive relationship with attitude and perceived control behavior, which supports to perform the purchase intention of consumers for Hue lotus products. The study provides the implication to improve Hue lotus consumption through marketing campaigns to increase knowledge of consumers about Hue lotus products.

Agricultural tourism presents significant opportunities for the comprehensive transformation of rural and mountainous areas by fostering activities that enhance income, generate employment, and strengthen community responsibility in preserving natural environments as well as local cultural, historical, and traditional values. Based on previous research, this article systematically synthesized theoretical issues related to sustainable agritourism development. These issues include resource planning to support agricultural tourism development, organizing businesses and forming supply chains for agricultural tourism products, constructing and optimizing tourism infrastructure, enhancing the effectiveness of collaborative activities, and advancing marketing, advertising, promotion, and market access strategies. The theoretical foundation for sustainable agritourism is essential in shaping the interconnected activities involved in policy-making, resource mobilization, planning, business management, and monitoring within both regional and inter-regional contexts. In Vietnam, the overall planning for agricultural tourism development must prioritize systematic and community-based approach to ensure the sustainability and long-term success of this sector.

Night-time economy is an important driving force in urban development, contributing to expanding the scale of the local economy, creating job opportunities, and improving the quality of cultural and social life for people. The theory and practical of night-time economy and night-time economic development needs to be systematized in detail. Based on secondary documents from databases of Google Scholar, Science Direct and Proquest, the article systematizes the basic theories on concepts, characteristics, roles and types of night-time economy.The development content of night-time economy includes expanding the scale and types of business, increasing operating time and optimizing the infrastructure system. At the same time, the study also points out the factors affecting the development of night-time economy and night-time economic development experiences the from synthesizing documents of domestic and foreign authors including state institutions and policies, population characteristics, business environment and socio-cultural environment.
